You can purchase tickets via Ticketek here or at the Tākina box office.
Where can I find information about accessibility for the exhibition?
All accessibility information is available via the Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre’s website.
Because exploring the galaxy should be for everyone, each location is accessible to guests with limited mobility. For guests with hearing disabilities, closed captioning subtitles are available on most of the galleries’ media screens.
How does the exhibition impact guests with sensory sensitivities?
Guests with sensory sensitivities should note that the exhibition includes ambient music, film sound bites, dynamic lighting, and integrated media throughout. However, to ensure everyone can comfortably enjoy LEGO® Star Wars™: The Exhibition, we offer dedicated Relaxed Viewing sessions with reduced capacity, lower noise levels, and adjusted lighting. Book now.
How long does it take to go through the exhibition?
The exhibition is self-guided; individual visit times will vary. We suggest guests allocate at least an hour to view LEGO® Star Wars™: The Exhibition. There’s no time limit once you’re inside, so you’re free to move at your own pace.
What is the largest model in the exhibition?
In terms of brick count, our 2m diameter model of the first Death Star uses 183,652 LEGO® bricks and contains over 400 minifigures! In terms of size, our 8m-long, 4.5m-tall AT-AT build is the largest.
What are Mystery Mosaics?
Mystery Mosaics are a collaborative building experience where visitors use their LEGO® skills to help reveal stunning brick-built images, one brick at a time. Work together to construct one of six gigantic Star Wars landscapes, featuring breathtaking scenes from iconic locations across the galaxy—from the sandy dunes of Tatooine to the floating metropolis of Cloud City. Each massive mosaic is made up of hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks.
What are the Interactive Activities in the exhibition?
Step into a hands-on galaxy where you can build, battle, and explore at your own pace. Begin on Tatooine by creating your own droid, then move into the hangars to construct starfighters for the Rebel Alliance or Galactic Empire, scan them in, and watch them come to life in an epic digital space battle.
Continue your journey by contributing to one of six Star Wars Mystery Mosaic landscapes, before landing on the forest moon of Endor to build Ewok traps or Imperial vehicles as the battle unfolds.
Finally, enter the Lightsaber Workshop to craft your own hilt, ignite the blade using AR technology, and capture a moment worthy of the galaxy.
Whether you’re a seasoned LEGO® builder or a casual Star Wars fan, there’s something here for everyone to build, explore, and create using millions of LEGO bricks across our interactive zones.
What is the largest model in the exhibition?
Ryan’s favourite model is undoubtedly the characters! “Building a face out of LEGO? Easy. But building one that actually looks like someone? That’s next-level tricky. Like, ‘only a handful of people in the world can do it’ kind of hard. And that’s exactly what makes them so awesome to work on!”
Will Brickman be at the exhibition?
Brickman will be visiting the exhibition periodically for special events. Keep an eye on our channels for any announcements!
Are we able to take photographs or video?
Yes, please do, and be sure to tag @legostarwarstheexhibition when you share on your socials, we’d love to see your experience!
